One Year Later, Heroes of History Is Throwing Quite the Party

Hamburg-based InnoGames is celebrating Heroes of History’s first birthday, and they’re not holding back on the festivities. The city-building and hero-collecting game hit its worldwide release milestone on September 26th, 2024, and the numbers tell a success story.

Since launch, Heroes of History pulled in over 2 million registered players. During this past year, InnoGames rolled out 17 new features and game modes, hosted 114 in-game events, and added 28 new heroes to the roster.

Now they’re saying thanks with anniversary events running through late October.

Anniversary Events and Hero Rate-Ups

The celebration kicked off with warm-up activities, including the new Anniversary Countdown milestone event. Players get a full week of 24-hour Hero Rate-Up promotions with boosted summoning chances for icons like Albert Einstein, Marie Curie, Dracula, Joan of Arc, Achilles, Medusa, and William Wallace.

A Legendary and Double Rate-Up weekend runs from September 26th to September 29th. Anniversary sales and free gifts continue until October 6th, giving players plenty of time to grab rewards.

There’s also a playful personality test called Discover Your Inner Legend that matches players with heroes based on their personality traits.

Seasonal Heroes Make Their Return

The central anniversary season spans September 24th through October 21st, 2025. During this window, all seasonal heroes released in 2025 become available again. Players can recruit Amelia Earhart, Blackbeard, Mozart, and other limited-time heroes they might have missed.

The Summon of the Stars leaderboard event runs simultaneously from September 24th to 29th, adding competitive elements to the anniversary celebration.

Visual Updates and Behind-the-Scenes Content

InnoGames refreshed the game’s visual presentation with a new anniversary logo and updated loading screen. They also released five Meet the Team videos that give players a peek at the people behind Heroes of History.

These additions show the studio’s commitment to connecting with their community beyond just gameplay updates.

InnoGames Track Record

InnoGames brings solid experience to Heroes of History, with established titles like Forge of Empires, Elvenar, and Tribal Wars under their belt. That background in long-term game support shows in how they’re handling this anniversary celebration.

The combination of returning content, new events, and community engagement suggests they’re planning for Heroes of History to have staying power similar to their other successful titles.

The anniversary festivities give both new and returning players reasons to jump back into building their historical cities and collecting legendary heroes.
